Pistol Caliber (9mm, .40, .45) Carbines have gained increasing popularity in the past year. The versatility, ease of operation, and accuracy of these compact rifles make them ideal for competitive and recreational shooting and personal safety/defense. This course will provide you with an overview of many of the popular models (Kriss Vector, Sig MPX, Beretta CX4 Storm, Just Right Carbine 9, and Kel Tec Sub 2000, among others) currently available and give you the opportunity to shoot a variety of different guns from various manufacturers with the goal of assisting you in choosing the model that is right for your needs. Instruction will include safe handling, functional operation, loading, charging and reloading, carry positions, shoulder mounting and aiming, and accurate shooting. Students will be instructed on the use of flip up sights and various types of red dots and/or magnified optics.
Completion of this course will enable participants to shoot in the soon to be introduced Pistol Caliber Carbine weekly competition.
Participants will need to purchase ammo at the range on the day of the class. The exact of amount of ammo purchased will be dependent upon the gun or guns that each participant wants to shoot.
